3 Days of Design 2026 | Our Highlights from Copenhagen

Copenhagen feels different in June.

Designers gather in cafés, historic townhouses transform into inspiring showrooms, and behind every door awaits a new idea. That is exactly what makes 3 Days of Design so special.

Rather than a traditional furniture fair, it is a journey through the city itself. Over two inspiring days, we explored new collections, visited long-standing partners and enjoyed conversations that will stay with us long after returning home.

With every stop, it became clear that this event is about far more than product launches. It is about ideas, meaningful encounters and spaces that tell stories.

Colours That Shape Spaces – Johanson

Our first stop was Johanson, where the showroom immediately drew us in with its striking colour concept created in collaboration with Teklan. Warm reds and yellows met soft greens, graphic patterns and rich material combinations. The result felt bold without ever becoming overwhelming.

The new collections blended naturally into this carefully curated setting. Split, designed by Färg & Blanche, combined soft upholstered forms with elegant metal frames, while Pelican Bowl and Pelican Pocket by Johan Lindstén demonstrated how colour can become an integral part of contemporary furniture design.

The outdoor area was equally memorable. Rather than feeling like a product display, it became a quiet retreat in the middle of Copenhagen, proving how thoughtful design has the power to transform any environment.

A House Full of Ideas – Normann Copenhagen

At Normann Copenhagen, we stepped into far more than a showroom. The multi-storey headquarters had been transformed into THE GRID, an exhibition exploring how thoughtfully designed spaces influence the way we live, work and connect.

Moving through beautifully curated living spaces, work environments and welcoming communal areas, the visit felt more like exploring an inspiring home than walking through an exhibition. Even the fresh green lunch reflected the brand’s attention to detail and hospitality.

Among the highlights were the Limit Lounge Chair Outdoor, bringing Niels Bendtsen’s iconic design into outdoor settings, the Pap Bookcase, an urban modular shelving system with a sustainable material concept, and the versatile Rope Modular Sofa, whose soft forms and flexible configurations make it perfectly suited to modern workplaces and lounge environments.

Normann Copenhagen once again demonstrated that great design creates structure without feeling rigid. It shapes spaces while making them feel warm, welcoming and distinctly human.

Design by the Water – HAY

As the evening approached, we made our way to the waterfront, where HAY presented its exhibition at O–Overgaden in Christianshavn. It was one of those places where you instinctively slow down, not because there is little to see, but because every room invites a closer look.

Across more than 1,500 square metres, HAY brought together past, present and future designs in a beautifully curated installation. Furniture, lighting, accessories and art complemented one another effortlessly, creating interiors that felt calm, timeless and full of character.

The waterfront setting added another layer to the experience. Bright spaces, carefully selected materials and previews of upcoming collections by designers including Jasper Morrison, Philippe Malouin and Julien Renault made this one of the most inspiring exhibitions of our visit.

Later that evening, we joined the event at Apollo, where conversations continued over dinner with partners, designers and friends from across the international design community.

Moments like these are what make 3 Days of Design truly special. You arrive to discover new products, but you leave inspired by the people you meet.

20 Years of New Perspectives – Muuto

Muuto was another highlight of our Copenhagen journey. The experience began the evening before with a relaxed rooftop gathering overlooking the city. Good conversations, delicious food, cake, popcorn and the warm summer atmosphere perfectly captured the spirit of the design festival.

The following morning, we explored Muuto’s multi-level headquarters, where the brand celebrated its anniversary under the theme 20 Years of New Perspectives. Rather than looking back, the exhibition focused on what comes next for Scandinavian design.

The presentation included limited anniversary editions such as Close to Heart by Spacon and Inner View Object by Lise Vester, alongside exciting previews of upcoming designs including the Coltre Sofa by Studiopepe, the Brink Chair by Thomas Bentzen and the Contra Floor Lamp by Jamie Wolfond.

Each floor offered a different atmosphere while maintaining Muuto’s unmistakable Scandinavian identity. Calm, tactile and beautifully balanced, the exhibition showed that great design continues to evolve while remaining true to its values.

Inspiring Perspectives

After two inspiring days, we returned home with our minds full of colours, materials, conversations and new ideas.

The 3 Days of Design are far more than a showcase for new collections. They are a place where ideas are shared, partnerships grow and design is experienced in its most authentic form.

A heartfelt thank you to all the brands and partners who welcomed us into their spaces, shared their latest collections and made these two days such an inspiring experience.

We also captured many of these moments on video. If you would like to see more behind-the-scenes impressions from Copenhagen, have a look at our latest Reel on Instagram: Hauser Office Design GmbH (@hauseroffice).
