The birth of Live/Evil: a new jazz hotspot in the heart of Munich

Inspirierender Live Jazz Club "Live Evil" in München.

Live/Evil opened its doors last year in the centre of Munich’s vibrant cultural scene. But what makes this new live jazz club in the Gasteig so special?

Here we reveal the story of how it came about, the unique concept and the collaboration that makes this place a project close to our hearts.

The concept of Live/Evil

The centrepiece of Live/Evil is good music and attractive drink prices. Operators Michael Zacharski and Maurice Löw are continuing their concept, which already took shape in the successful interim use of Ankerhaide in Haidhausen. There they already offered local bands and artists a platform and are continuing this approach at Live/Evil.

Their aim is to offer local artists a stage and thus create a place for art and music that is freely accessible to all.

How did the collaboration between Live/Evil & Hauser come about?

Hauser has a deep passion for music. We have many employees in our company who are musicians themselves or are enthusiastic about music. The connection between Hauser and Live/Evil came about through existing contacts and friendships.

It is important to us to support the music scene in Munich, which is why we were directly involved in helping the operators of Live/Evil to organise the club.

Before the opening, we were faced with the challenge of redesigning the premises of the former GAST in the Gasteig. We transformed the GAST into a club by installing a partition wall for live music and a stage, among other things. The fitters from the “MEMO TEAM” helped us to install the wall at cost price, while Hauser took care of the planning, advice and organisation free of charge.

The artists Mehmet and Kazim (www.mehmetandkazim.com) from Munich designed the ceiling, while Johanson Design sponsored furniture such as high benches, stools, tables and soft seating.

Thanks to the support, we can use the club from Monday to Wednesday for cool events with customers, partners and friends, sampling sessions or as an office.

Here we present you the result: The completed Live/Evil Club.

Christmas event with König + Neurath at Live/Evil

Our Christmas event with König + Neurath took place at Live/Evil in November. Together with the Live/Evil team, we transformed the jazz club into a festive setting and organised an atmospheric Christmas market on the terrace, followed by performances in the club.

Find out more about the event in our last blog. Read the post.

We look forward to seeing you at Live/Evil and being inspired.

Best regards,

Giulia
