How often do we actually take the time during a busy workday to do something creative together?

That was exactly the idea behind Paint Your Silence.

Together with Zilenzio, we brought manufacturers, partners, architects and clients together at the Designwerkschau in Munich on 17 September.

Not for a long presentation or a classic networking event.

Instead, we wanted to create a space where people could meet, make something together, exchange ideas and simply leave everyday work behind for a few hours.

For us, this is exactly what the Office Design Network is about.

It is not just about introducing people to one another. It is about bringing different perspectives and expertise together.

Manufacturers contribute their product knowledge, architects bring their design perspective, clients share their needs and challenges, and we connect those different strengths.

This is how change happens together.

And ideally, everyone in the network benefits from it.

At Paint Your Silence, this became very tangible.

The focus of the evening was Dezibel Art by Zilenzio: acoustic panels that combine sound absorption with design and could be individually painted by every guest.

So we picked up the brushes, added some colour and simply started.

The results could not have been more different. Some were clean and minimal, others colourful and expressive, some carefully planned and others completely spontaneous.

Alongside the creative part, we also learned more about the product itself.

Zilenzio develops acoustic solutions for modern interiors and focuses strongly on materials, sound absorption and sustainable product development.

One important material used in acoustic solutions is stone wool, which offers excellent sound-absorbing properties and is therefore particularly suitable for acoustic panels.

What we found especially interesting was the idea that acoustics do not have to be hidden away.

They can be visible. Personal. Part of the design.

And that is what made the evening so special.

People from different backgrounds sat together, painted, talked, ate, drank and learned from one another along the way.

No stiff networking. No programme you simply sit through.

Just a really good evening where something new was created together.

And at the end, everyone got to take their own piece of Paint Your Silence back home or to the office.
