Funivia – Italian for cable car – a flexible lighting system that inspires us. Inspired by a cable car with gondolas in the mountains and designed for maximum flexibility in interior design, this lighting system not only has practical benefits, but also adds a touch of industrial flair to open workspaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today’s article, we would like to present the technology of the Funivia system and show you the many possible applications in interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artemide – pioneers of lighting design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Artemide, a pioneer in the field of innovative lighting solutions, has made a name for itself for its outstanding design and high-quality workmanship. For decades, the company has been setting standards within the industry and stands for bold design paired with innovative lighting technology made in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Funivia luminaire system from Artemide combines innovative technologies with aesthetic design. Designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua in 2020, Funivia opens up new potential for freedom in lighting and enables flexible lighting design, inspired by the freedom of the mountains and mountaineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its high degree of flexibility, the system can move freely in the room, even over high walls or long paths. The wire provides the power supply and can be flexibly attached to the ceiling, wall or floor. This enables individual adaptation to the spatial conditions. Starting from a single power supply point, the network of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines forms a three-dimensional lighting system in the room. The cable also acts as a supporting element to position the lighting elements exactly where they are needed. In addition, each luminaire can be controlled individually via the Artemide app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funivia is not bound to a strict design and can be freely and flexibly adapted to the room. The black or white color scheme of the cable fits seamlessly into any environment, while a stylish red provides a colorful accent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability: Flexible use of the Artemide collections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its functionality, Funivia impresses with its sustainability and flexibility. The robust and durable cable can be easily rolled up for transportation and the lighting system can be combined and extended with existing luminaires from the Artemide collection. This not only minimizes the use of resources, but also underlines the ongoing dialogue between architects and designers working with Artemide. This sustainable and flexible design makes Funivia a forward-looking solution for modern lighting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Funivia Indoor is suitable for lighting rooms with special challenges thanks to its flexible lighting network and individual adaptability, Funivia Outdoor opens up new possibilities for professional outdoor lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outdoor installation requires minimal effort, with high-quality light possible wherever it previously seemed unattainable. Various luminaires such as La Linea 25, “O” by Elemental, the technical spotlight Obice and the decorative glass sphere Sphere can be harmoniously integrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
